The Creative Mama

Occasionally I'm lucky and find myself with a minute to sit and read. Even though I have plenty on my plate, today is one of those days. I've fallen in love with The Creative Mama, a website/blog founded in early 2009 by Angie Warren. It's a collaboration of women from all walks of life who share their goals; reach out, encourage and ultimately help other women to live life a bit more creatively.

There were two recent posts that caught my attention. The first, Location & Inspiration - an article helping photographers identify inspiration in any location. The second, Trusting Your Unique Voice. Here's an excerpt:

You, as an artist, have something amazing and unique to offer, right now. No one else sees and experiences the world the way you do. Your voice is your own, and if you are willing and brave enough to break yourself wide open and share your unique and beautiful heart, what comes out will be real - nothing “aspiring” about it. That kind of authenticity is extremely powerful, and is truly art.

Enjoy.
