The Farm Fair was this weekend, and what better way to spend a Saturday afternoon then strolling through animal barns listening to a one-year-old say Moo, Baa and Ahh?!
One of the perks of our new place is that it backs to a field the county uses for parking during the farm fair. So all we had to do was trek through the woods to catch a bus to the fair grounds. The only downside is that the buses kick up a ton of dirt which billows through our yard and into our house when the windows are open. Of course, we learned this lesson after we had cleaned. Oh well.
We had a great time. Miles loved the cows, pigs, goats, roosters and horses. Mike loved the tractor pull competition. I really enjoyed the vertical dock dog jump competition but my favorite was the soft serve ice cream from Cows on the Loose. It was delicious and had the line not been as long as it was, I may have gotten a second cone - it was that good!
