Mealtime with Miles is always interesting. You never know what he'll decide to eat off his plate. Some days we nail it and he eats everything. Other days, we're not so lucky. Sadly, it's the later that happens most often.
Mike and I have tried so many different "tips and tricks" to get him to eat. We know he'll try things in time, but it can be a bit frustrating. Recently we noticed that if we give him a plate of food he won't eat it. However, he will sometimes try it from our fork OR he'll snag my plate and fork and eat it himself. I think it's his way of telling us "I'm a big boy."
The other day, he wouldn't eat ANYTHING. His plate had some pork, couscous, pears, asparagus and strawberries — okay I lied, he did eat the strawberries. He pushed the rest of the plate away and said "no." He then pointed to everything we had on the table, which was everything he had on his plate. He refused to eat it off of my plate too.
He asked to get down. When he did, he climbed up into my lap and then into Mike's lap. He pulled the pan of couscous over to him and proceeded to eat out of the pan. Now, I'm not a fan of him doing this and definitely not promoting this behavior, but I wasn't about to stop him since he wanted to eat. Wouldn't you know the minute he put a spoon full in his mouth, he said "mmmm..."
This kid is nuts.

I say what ever works. I used to feed Christina as she ran around the house.
