Miles had his two year check-up on Friday, July 8th. It's official. He isn't really a baby anymore. The once little bean weighed in at 29 pounds and measured 35 inches long. He's still between the 50th and 75th percentile for both his weight and height. Our pediatrician said that unless something changes, Miles is likely to be around 5'10" when he's done growing - YAHOO! I'm ecstatic that he didn't get his height from me!
Our pediatrician was very pleased with Miles' language development and comprehension. Miles pointed out his nose, eyes, belly button and toes as the doctor asked. He even stuck out his tongue and said "ahh" all on his own. There were a few animal sounds made during the appointment as well. Besides a little heat rash and eczema, everything checked out okay.
I was told to start Miles on a multi-vitamin (done) and look into getting him in to see a pediatric dentist (I'm going to wait a few more months on this one since there's no way he'll sit still). We've also transitioned to 2% milk. Our pediatrician was happy to hear that Miles is still only drinking water and milk. However, the best part about the whole appointment was NO shots! Miles was all caught up. He'll have to go back this fall for the flu shot, but that's it.
Our next official appointment won't be until he's three years old. I'm sure we'll see the doctor before then unless something miraculous happens and Miles stays infection free until next summer (hahaha).
