Miles Goes to the Doctor (four month check-up)

Miles had his four month check-up today. He is now 15 pounds 14 ounces and 26.5 inches long. He is still in the 75th percentile for both his weight and height. His head remains in the 25th percentile, measuring in at 41.5 centimeters. Our pediatrician was very happy with his development and gave us the green light to start baby food.

First up, SWEET POTATOES! Boy did Miles love them. At first he was a little surprised that the "stuff" we were feeding him had flavor but after a spoon or two, he was ready for the next bite. He'll be eating sweet potatoes for the next three days and then switching to another orange veggie. Our pediatrician said to do all the orange veggies, then all of the fruits and finish up the 1st foods with the green veggies. It should take us about six weeks. Then he'll be ready for the next stage.
