Legislative Action Center Website

Over the weekend, I received an email with a link to the Friends of the US Chamber of Commerce website. If you're opposed to the health care initiative, here's your opportunity to send an email/fax/letter to your local representatives.

Tell Congress to Oppose Flawed Health Care Proposals

The U.S. Chamber continues to support reforming the health system, specifically efforts to control costs and improve quality, reforms of insurance markets, and the creation of a streamlined, simplified marketplace to purchase insurance.

However, bills in both the House and Senate fail a simple litmus test for health reform legislation: they will not improve the current situation; in fact, they will largely make it worse.

Tax increases to pay for a public plan, employer mandates, and minimum coverage will do more than devastate the private insurance industry--they could bankrupt our economy.

Despite the passage of the House health care bill, Congress can still defeat these flawed proposals.

Send a letter to Congress now telling them to oppose reckless reform that will raise taxes, kills jobs and increase costs. Click here to take action.
