Backyard Fun

A few months ago our neighbors a few doors down moved and, in the sale, ended up leaving their swing set. After months of searching Craigslist and other online sites, Mike decided to walk up to the new neighbors and ask if we could buy the set our friends left. The guy, whose kids are 19 and 21, said yes.

So, while Miles was down for his nap, Mike and several of the court guys helped move the swing set four doors down and into our yard. It took a few hours to level it out, but it was practically ready to go when Miles woke up from his nap. I'm not sure what he was thinking when he saw it, but I'm sure if he could and knew how, he would have pinched himself to make sure he wasn't dreaming. He loves his backyard playhouse.

It took a while before Miles went down the slide by himself. He wanted Mike or I to go down with him at first. Since then he's gone down a few times on his own. Even though he loves slides, he's not 100% sure about this one. It's a tad faster than most of the slides he's been on but I'm sure once the weather warms up, he'll conquer the "beast." For now he's enjoying the swings, rock wall and clubhouse.
