The National Weather Service confirmed that three tornadoes hit Monroe in the early morning hours on Sunday. According to the Monroe Evening News, the tornado touched down at 2:33 a.m. just southwest of Estral Beach, where my family lives. It then tracked five miles northeast, reaching EB at 2:39 and then headed out onto the lake. Based on the damage, the torando was 500 yards wide with winds of 90mph.
