Miles Goes to the Doctor (six month check-up)

Miles had his six month check-up today. He received two shots and a live vaccination which he drank. The first shot didn't bother Miles a bit. He didn't make a sound. He gave us a little whimper for the second shot and that was it. No tears. Miles is one tough little cookie. As for his stats, Miles is now 18 pounds (50th percentile for weight) and 27 inches (75th percentile for height).

Mike and I were both there today so we could talk to the pediatrician about Miles's acid reflux. It doesn't seem to bother him much but it's excess, at least to us. Miles is spitting up around 15-20 times a day and it's been like this since he was born. In November he started Zantac and it hasn't done anything. Mike, our pediatrician and I decided to change his medication. Instead of taking Zantac, Miles will start taking Prevacid solu-tabs tomorrow. Our pediatrician is doubtful that it will do much but we're hoping it lessens the amount of spit-ups he has daily.

During the check-up, our pediatrician told us that Miles's two front bottom teeth should be making an appearance within the next month. The doctor could said they are starting to push up through the gums. He also said that Miles's two front top teeth look like they be coming in soon too. We'll be sure to keep you posted.

Good luck with the Prevacid. It has done wonders for Lindsey and my niece.
