For all my friends who are feeling a bit stressed, I hope you enjoy this adaptation of "Twas the Night Before Christmas," written by my friend Kory Chase last night. This girl rivals my dad in the department of witty. I love this!
Twas three nights before Christmas and
nothing was done. The presents unwrapped, every single one.
The mommy had not bought one bow at the store
There were dishes in the sink, and crumbs on the floor.
The blog was outdated, the laundry undone
Yes soup is for dinner again everyone.
The tree was half dead, and was starting to wilt
The mommy's to do list was causing her guilt.
She went to the park, and found out it was closed
then came back to the house, in her comfiest clothes
She played on the floor, with her babies so happy
which made her remember her reasons so sappy
to think of the moments that go oh so fast
the giggles, the tickles, and of course belly laughs
The gifts will get wrapped, the house will get clean,
but for tonight...we will go get some ice cream!
