Our "New" Sofa

In October, my parents drove out an old settee that belonged to my great grandparents. It had been sitting in their basement for years and I thought it was time to bring it back to life. After the holidays, Mike and I took it to a local upholstery guy. We were pleasantly surprised when we found out the original horse hair stuffing was underneath the batting and, what believe was the original fabric – which had been covered with more batting and a different fabric. The upholstery guy decided to keep all of the original "stuff" intact and added more foam and batting over top of the original materials. The settee is now at home in our living room.
