Miles' First Trip - West Virginia

After nearly five weeks of looking at our house walls, I was desperate to get away for a couple days. Mike and I decided to pack up our Subaru Tribeca with Miles and Homer and head out to Elkins, West Virginia to visit our good friends Hoy, Teresa and their almost two-year-old daughter Madalynn. We left on Saturday, August 8th (our six year wedding anniversary) and could not have asked for a better drive. Both Miles and Homer were so well behaved...it must have been our anniversary gift from the two of them. Miles slept nearly the entire five hour drive, waking only for a bottle. Our ride home wasn't as good but it wasn't too bad. Both boys were a tad fussy the last two hours of the trip.

We had such a great time with the Fergusons. Madalynn was absolutely adorable with Miles helping us give him his paci and letting us know when he was crying, "Baby Miles Cry." Every night she gave him a hug and a kiss on his forehead. We might have to keep our eyes on the two of them in a couple years :)
